560 lots are on offer at the CGB Numismatique Paris Live Auction – 12 December 2017, from ancient coins, French royal and modern coins to world coins, jetons and medals. Let's have a look today to some of the french modern and world coins of the sale!
Among the 118 lots of French modern coins (from the post French Revolution period) offered for sale, 29 were certified and graded by PCGS and NGC, including lot 452368, a pre-series without the word “ESSAI” for the one-centime Épi matte proof PCGS SP67, which is hardly ever offered for sale. Outside the traditional gold 40 Francs or 100 Francs, the most remarkable lots of this portion of the sale are the Napoléon Empereur, Calendrier révolutionnaire 5-Francs, 1805 K (minted in Bordeaux) (lot 453525), a particularly rare coin that we are selling for the very first time. This coin is also the first one of this type to be included in the Collection Idéale.
