New design of the 2 Euro commemorative coin European flag revealed

The competition organized by the European Commission to choose the design of the  new 2 Euro commemorative coin common to all the countries of the Euro zone 2015, 30th anniversary of the European flag, has come to an end the 28th of may.

More than 100 000 European citizens voted for their favourite coin among five projects (see our previous article "Vote now for your favourite coin design for the 2 Euro European Flag")

With 30% of the votes, the winner is the project of George Stamatopoulos, designer at the Bank of Greece.

The 2 Euro commemorative  "30th anniversary of the European flag" will be issued second half of 2015.
