Here is for today a nice selection of french royal coins. Among them you will find a set of quarter of "écus" and also some very fine example like this extremely fine "écu" said to the eight L minted at Lille in 1725, and a very fine "écu" to the eight L, second type, minted at Amiens in 1704 under Louis XIV.
