Here is for today a selection of coins minted from Louis VIII until the end of the french absolute monarchy. You will find many types of coins like this gold ecu at the chair for Philip VI, an ecu said to "France-Navarre" to the superb reverse minted in 1718 for Louis XV at Paris or a Bissone (Gros royal of 3 sous) minted at Milan to the name of Louis XII and a "Louis d'or" previously unseen minted in 1671 at Aix-en-Provence for Louis XIV.
