Si CGB.fr est avant tout connue pour son expertise en numismatique française et étrangère, notre maison accompagne également ses clients dans l’achat et la vente de métaux précieux. Forte de son expérience et de sa connaissance des marchés, CGB conseille depuis de nombreuses années les collectionneurs souhaitant diversifier leur patrimoine. Nos transactions se font en toute transparence et au rythme du client. Nous privilégions la vente de métaux effectivement disponibles en stock, une approche prudente qui permet d’éviter les incertitudes liées à la volatilité des cours. L’accompagnement commence souvent par un premier échange téléphonique, puis se poursuit lors d’un rendez-vous physique afin de bien comprendre les attentes de chacun. Dans ce cadre, la connaissance de nos clients – le fameux Know Your Customer (KYC) – est une évidence et garantit des transactions sécurisées dans le respect des obligations légales et fiscales applicables aux métaux précieux. Dans un contexte économique marqué par les tensions inflationnistes, la diversification patrimoniale est devenue une nécessité pour de nombreux épargnants. L’or, sans être une solution miracle, constitue depuis longtemps un actif capable d’accompagner l’inflation et de s’inscrire dans une stratégie de long terme.
Diversifier ne signifie pas spéculer. Il s’agit avant tout de rechercher un équilibre entre différents supports afin de réduire les risques. C’est dans cet esprit que CGB et moi-même mettons notre expérience au service de nos clients : apporter un conseil clair, prudent et conforme aux règles qui encadrent les métaux précieux. Twenty years after its first publication, ‘Monnaies romaines’ is back in an expanded edition. This handbook provides a clear and accessible overview of eight centuries of coin history, from the first coinage of the Republic to the Roman Empire’s fall.
Much more than a mere catalog, this work shines a light on Rome’s political, economic and cultural development through its monetary production. Each coin is described in detail and placed in its historical context, with information on its condition, sales price and current market trends.
This new work is intended for both enthusiasts and curious novices alike. Far from an academic treatise, it is a true discovery guide which demonstrates that Roman coins, while largely unknown, are yet accessible and often constitute amazing testimonies from the past.
2021–2025… It took just under four years to completely deplete our stock of the large-format edition of La Cote des Billets (French Banknote Price Guide reference). So what to do? A reprint of the same edition? A complete overhaul? Neither, as collectors were won over by its structure and content; there was no need to revise the well-established nomenclature. Nor was the latter a simple reprint, as some prices change, rarities appear, and new notes are essential. Therefore, here is La Cote… new edition. “Revised and corrected…and updated.” Thus, there will be no disruption for collectors, no loss of bearings, and immediate usability, but still an update of the prices and, above all, hundreds of added or corrected notes.
Without a reference work, without classification, without information, a collection dies; blogs and websites are useful, but the book remains an essential common foundation. Writing and publishing La Cote des Billets is a major undertaking and a significant investment, but it is necessary.
We hope that this edition will satisfy collectors, that they will find what they need to keep their passion alive.

In the General, Departmental, and Municipal Council category, an elegant matte-finish silver plaque, struck for the Municipal Council of La Rochelle and awarded to councillor Raymond Roux, completes this selection.
