Dear collectors,
Although the start of autumn feels a bit like an endless summer, the new season is well and truly upon us, bringing with it new literary releases and, as far as we are concerned, new books on numismatics. They have been trickling in over the past few weeks, and it is high time to take stock of these new releases, some of which are eagerly awaited. It begins with the Handbook of Greek Coinage series, with the long-awaited publication of Volume 8, Handbook of Coins of Western and Southern Anatolia. Part 1: Mysia and Troas, and the reprint of Volume 2, Handbook of Sicilian Coins, which had been out of print. The last publication in the Trésors Monétaires collection was back in 2023, so the recent release of Trésors Monétaires XXXI: L’or romain comes as a pleasant surprise. For collectors of french royal coins, we are offering the new issue of Monnaies Royales de Louis XI à Henri IV (1461–1610) by Stéphan Sombart. Another pleasant surprise for enthusiasts of modern French coins: Le Franc series dedicated to trial issues welcomes a new addition, Le Franc: Les Essais, Les Archives – Second Republic (1848–1852), which should be available shortly. In the realm of genuine surprises, two books on rather unusual subjects: Les Timbres-Monnaie de la Francophonie and Les Compagnonnages et les Meilleurs Ouvriers de France par les médailles. These titles can be found amongst other new releases, as well as the more than 700 titles available from our shop in both french, english and other languages.
