As many of CGB customer know, we have encountered severe difficulties last tuesday with our Live Auction platform. From the beginning of the Live phase on tuesday, July 27 early beginning of afternoon, the turnaround timelines of our computing server were too significant and many bidders could not access the sale.
Our team of IT specialists and developers tried to find immediate solutions to restart the sale as quickly as possible. After 20 minutes of unsuccessful researches, better option was to interrupt the Live closing phase and postpone it to the following week. For the sake of equality, it was necessary to resume the closing phase once the host failure had been identified, and therefore to interrupt the live. Admittedly, this adds an additional week to the sale, some have reproached us for raising the bids, others has blamed us for the postponement of an entire week and will not bid in the sale next tuesday. Nevertheless most of the bidders have shown understanding, patience and confidence and we thank them for that.
Postpone the Live closing of this sale was the only fair and transparent solution. We have done our utmost this week to provide a quick and lasting solution in order to stabilize this sales support, which moreover seems to be more and more appreciated by collectors-buyers and collectors-sellers.
We invite you to join us tomorrow, tuesday, August 3, upon 2.00 pm (Paris time) for the closing Live of our summer Internet Auction. The closing Live will start from the 1st lot.
