CGB Internet Auction - November 14, André Ronde's Ancient coins collection

728 lots are offered for sale at the CGB Numismatique Paris November 14, 2023 Internet Auction. Live closing (direct bids) will start on Tuesday, November 4, 2023, from 2.00 pm (Paris time). This Internet Auction presents two thematic sales : a selection of Ancient coins from the André Ronde Collection and 450 medals minted between 1848 and 1948, a century throw the art of Medals.

The selection of coins from the André Ronde collection presents those minted in the land of the Pharaohs, Egypt with a set of lots from the Greek Lagides dynasty and Roman provincial coins minted in Alexandria. André Ronde has endeavored during his long career as a numismatist, which began in the 1950s, to gather testimonies of history, rather than the most beautiful examples known. This is a collection of researchers where each coin is chosen for its theme, its historical interest, its iconography in order to present a global vision of the whole.
