562 lots are on offer at the CGB Numismatique Paris Live Auction – 6 March 2018, from ancient coins, French royal and modern coins to world coins, tokens and medals.

The sale starts with a large set of Greek coins (more than 100 lots). Two beautiful tetradrachms, one for Syracuse (lot 466617) and one from Entella, close to the Elymian territory (lot 467468) are the first highlights of this March Live Auction.

Then there is a wide selection of Roman coins. It includes an interesting assortment of aurei, among which a Marcus Aurelius’ aureus (lot 470266), just as beautiful as the magnificent Sabina’s aureus offered for sale (lot 466687). A denarius featuring an elegant and nicely struck portrait of Julius Caesar will no doubt catch your eye. As with our last auctions, we have focused on coins with a pedigree (private collection, sales catalog, declared and sometimes published treasure troves, etc.).
