Discover the Silver Eagles

This week, we invite you to discover a selection of silver dollars known as Silver Eagles.

In 1986, the United States began minting gold and silver bullion coins to compete with global bullion coins such as the Canadian Maple Leaf, the South African Krugerrand and others. Initially valued solely for their silver content, a collector’s market has since developed. The obverse of the American silver coins features the design created by Adolphe A. Weinman for the half-dollars issued from 1916 to 1947 inclusive. John M. Mercanti created the reverse design. From 2021, a new reverse design known as the ‘landing eagle’ was introduced.
