Among them, you will find a superb bronze medal showing the profile of Max Jacob by René Iché, as well as some older strikes, including a beautiful bronze medal depicting the ceremonial portraits of Philippe of Orléans and Elisabeth Charlotte of Bavaria, Dowager Duchess of Orléans.

Our selection today includes a refined assortment of Freemason tokens, such as a fine copper piece from the Lodge of the Incorruptible Friends in the Orient of Paris. You’ll also find, among other themes, a beautiful silver token from the Orléanaise mutual insurance society.

Also, be sure to mark your Paris calendars: on May 28th, 2025, a roundtable will be held on the theme of Freemasonry — “Perception and Use of Art among the Rosicrucians, Freemasons, and Illuminati in Enlightenment Europe.” The event will take place at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA), 2 rue Vivienne, Vasari Room, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Speakers will include Pierre-Yves Beaurepaire, Professor of Early Modern History, William Pesson, architect and architectural historian, and Laurent Schmitt, a well-known numismatist and a familiar name in our circles.
