We are pleased to present a new small selection today, featuring several medals from the Monnaie de Paris. Among them, you’ll find the stunning Fonte de Bénarès, created by Thérèse Dufresne at the Monnaie de Paris, as well as a few older strikes — including a beautiful copper medal with a chocolate patina commemorating the stay of Alexander I in Paris.

Our selection today includes a refined assortment of Freemason tokens, such as a splendid token from the Scottish Lodge of Marie-Louise in the Orient of Paris, 1810.

Also, be sure to mark your Paris calendars: on May 28th, 2025, a roundtable will be held on the theme of Freemasonry — “Perception and Use of Art among the Rosicrucians, Freemasons, and Illuminati in Enlightenment Europe.” The event will take place at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA), 2 rue Vivienne, Vasari Room, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Speakers will include Pierre-Yves Beaurepaire, Professor of Early Modern History, William Pesson, architect and architectural historian, and Laurent Schmitt, a well-known numismatist and a familiar name in our circles.
