Hello ,
Here are some new medals among which you will find some medals strucked by the Monnaie de Paris, as those medals from Thérèse Dufresne, Bénarès minted in 1968 (date on the edge) and the writer Heinriki Ibsen minted in 1967 (date on the edge).
Thérèse Dufresne (1937-2010) is a engraver currently famous among collectors. Some of her medals are quite high. Student from the School of Arts and from the National Superior School of the Beaux-arts of Paris, she was a pupil of Jean Souverbie (1891-1981) in painting and Marcel Marie Auguste Chauvenet (1906-1988) in sculpture. She received the Price Chenavard in painting in 1961, and the First medal in a Monumental Art Competition in 1962. She was a resident of the Casa Velasquez in Madrid (1962-1964) et soon after she made 30 mosaics pannels for the facade of the High School Charlemagne in Raincy. Her medals will be minted at the Monnaie de Paris from 1964 with the Rabindranath Tagore's medal, until 1985 with the Art font of Absalon. The "Catalogue général illustré des éditions de la Monnaie de Paris" shows almost forty of her medals.
