Banknotes from colonial and then independent Equatorial Africa are sought after by many enthusiasts, but remain very difficult to classify. The multiplicity of banks and territory names, and the diversity of series make cataloguing one's collection a real headache. This book - La Cote des billets de l’Afrique Équatoriale - aims first of all at establishing a new, more practical and clearer classification, and, as much as possible, at suggesting consistent prices.

The first section is dedicated to Colonial Equatorial Africa from the 1920s to the end of the 1950s, while the second section covers Independent Equatorial Africa from 1959, with the destination country being indicated either explicitly or in the form of a letter.
A systematic review was conducted using our database, peer sales, and specialized websites to identify series, variants, and rarities, and to offer the most up-to-date valuations possible. Of course, the collectibles market keeps changing, but scarcity indexes and value dynamics are well established.
